The Rapid City Rush (6-4-0) and red-hot Tim Boron held on for a 3-2 victory over the Arizona Sundogs (6-3-2) on Tuesday night ending the Sundogs three-game win streak and handing the ‘Dogs a setback in game one of their very difficult four-game road trip.
Boron followed up a shutout on Saturday night with a 28 save performance against the Sundogs raising his record to 5-2-0 on the season.
David Brown took the loss stopping 23 shots and seeing his record fall to 3-3-0 on the season.
Rusty Masters, Jarrett Konkle and Jared Brown scored for the Rush and Chad Nehring scored both goals for Arizona who now travels to Denver for a pair of games and then finish their trip in Wichita on Saturday.
The Rush host the Fort Worth Brahmas on Friday night.
