Rush up and down so far this season

A hectic weekend ended with a mixed bag of results for the Rapid City Rush.
After a lackluster performance in a 2-1 loss to the Fort Worth Brahmas on civic center ice Friday night, the Rush were determined to up their level of play in a pair of games on the road.
“There was not one happy person on the bus ride to Missouri. The loss was not what bothers me it was the effort that was there Friday that was not acceptable,” Rush head coach Joe Ferras said.
Rapid City did bounce back with a full effort in Saturday’s keystone matchup with the Missouri Mavericks, claiming a 4-3 victory on rookie Jeff Lee’s first professional goal.
“A sign of a good hockey club is when you bounce back the next night 12 hours away. Going against a team with a lot of veteran players and not many rookies is a great pushback, enormous for the confidence of the guys. We know what we need to do to be successful,” Ferras said Saturday night.
