The Arizona Sundogs ended a three-game slide and handed the Allen Americans their first back-to-back losses of the season on Saturday night in a 4-2 victory.
Allen came back after Chad Nehring made the score 1-0 for Arizona by scoring back-to-back goals taking a 2-1 lead. Brian McMillin and Anthony Maiani scored the goals for the Americans.
The third period though was owned by the Sundogs who scored three unanswered goals with Jake Hauswirth, Derek LeBlanc and Kyle Hood finding the back of the net.
David Brown made 35 saves earning the win.
The loss was the first regulation defeat for the Americans when leading after two periods (9-0-1 entering the game).
Allen remains in first place by a point over Wichita who fell in Denver.
