BEAUSOLEIL'S GAME-WINNER LIFTS OILERS PAST SUNDOGS

TULSA, OK - The Tulsa Oilers trailed the Arizona Sundogs on three separate occasions on Sunday evening.  Each time, the Oilers found a way to tie the contest and their only lead of the night proved to be the only advantage they'd need in a 4-3 win over Arizona in front of 3,310 at the BOK Center.

After falling behind 1-0 just 1:17 into the first period, Ryan Cramer's wrist shot through the legs of Arizona goalie Adam Russo evened the score at 1-1.  The Oilers fell behind again two minutes later when Ron Meyers beat Mike Garman to the blocker side and provided a 2-1 cushion for the Sundogs.  Again the Oilers answered.  Mike Ullrich's backhand across the Arizona crease was swatted into the net by Ben Gordon at 12:45 and the two sides were deadlocked at 2-2 after the opening frame.

The game remained tied until late in the second period when Sundogs forward Jake Hauswirth tracked down his own rebound and tucked a backhand under the crossbar to push his side back in front for a third time.  Less than two minutes later, Gordon's pass ricocheted off of Ryan Menei and past Russo to draw the Oilers even yet again.  Menei, who has points in six of his last seven games, recorded his seventh goal of the season while Gordon was one of three Oilers to finish the night with multiple points.

Thanks to a Chad Nehring holding infraction, the Oilers were given a powerplay midway through the third period.  Michel Beausoleil's first shot on net was stopped by Russo but the rebound came right back out the veteran right wing who made no mistake with his second offering.  Beausoleil's tenth goal of the year gave Tulsa it's first lead of the night, a 4-3 edge with 10:21 still remaining.  The Oilers killed off a 6-on-4 Sundogs advantage in the final minute and survived a final surge to preserve the win.

In his second start since being signed last Friday, Garman improved to 2-0-0 by turning aside 32 of the 35 shots he faced.  Garman left the game in the third period to make repairs to his equipment and backup goaltender Ian Keserich stopped two shots in six minutes of relief.

The victory lifts the Oilers out of the cellar and into eighth place in the CHL standings.  The Oilers will play their fourth game in five days on Tuesday night when they host the Missouri Mavericks for the second time this season.  Puck drop is set for 7:05 p.m. as Tulsa will look to win back-to-back games for a third
