The Bloomington Blaze announced on Monday, the signing of goaltender
Dan Dunn for the 2012-13 season.
After the Oshawa, Ontario native’s four-year career at St. Cloud State, Dunn turned pro last season seeing action with three clubs (Rio Grande Valley, Evansville and Dayton). It was in Dayton with new Blaze head coach Brian Gratz that Dunn had his best success going 4-2-2 with a .927 save percentage.
On the season, the former sixth round draft selection of the Washington Capitals (2007) posted a 7-4-3 record.
Gratz is excited to have the goalie in the mix, “"Dan is a good, young goaltender that moves very well and has a big frame at 6'4". He competes hard every game and works tirelessly to be at his best both on and off the ice."
The 6-4, 200-pound net minder went 20-15-6 with St. Cloud State.
