BLOOMINGTON — Bloomington Blaze goalie Pier-Olivier Pelletier followed up a 42-save night with another strong showing Saturday.
Pelletier made 46 stops as the Blaze completed a two-game sweep of the Wichita Thunder with a 3-2 Central Hockey League victory before a crowd of 2,123 at U.S. Cellular Coliseum.
Travis Granbois, Jeff Winchester and Jesse Dudas scored for the Blaze, who won their third straight on a season-opening five-game homestand that concludes Friday against Quad City.
Dave Inman and Ian Lowe scored in the third period for Wichita. A Chad Painchaud shot to tie hit the post with 1:34 left and Bloomington withstood a Thunder power play over the final 1:05.
