Rapid City goaltender Tim Boron is coming off his best pro season going 24-11-2 with a .925 save percentage and he has followed that up with a strong start to the 2012-13 campaign.
Over his last four appearances, Boron has gone 2-1 but his numbers would reflect a goalie that is on top of his game. Boron has a sparkling 1.82 GAA stopping 102 of 109 shots (.936 save %).
On Tuesday versus the red-hot Arizona Sundogs, Boron made 28 saves en route to a 3-2 win. His previous start was a 4-0 shutout of the Wichita Thunder who, like Arizona, were also on a win streak.
The only loss over his last four appearances was a 2-1 stumble in Tulsa in a game that could have easily went the way of the Rush who outplayed the Oilers for much of the game but were unable to find the net.
Rapid City has a busy weekend ahead with Fort Worth coming to town on Friday night and then a long trip to Missouri for a battle with the Mavs on Saturday and a trip to Quad City to battle the Mallards on Sunday.
