FORT WORTH TRADES RYAN BARLOCK TO TULSA
BRAHMAS DEAL DEFENSEMAN FOR FUTURE CONSIDERATIONS
FORT WORTH, Texas (December 18) – The Fort Worth Brahmas traded rookie defenseman Ryan Barlock to the Tulsa Oilers Tuesday afternoon in exchange for future considerations.
“Ryan is a good, young defenseman with a strong work ethic and the willingness to learn,” said Brahmas Head Coach Dan Wildfong. “I have no doubt that he can help Tulsa at the blue line.”
Barlock missed the last month and a half with a fractured bone in his right wrist, forcing him to the injured reserve retroactive to October 28. The Niles, Illinois native played the last four years at Division-III Curry College, where he led the Colonels with 38 points as a senior in 2011-2012.
At 6-foot-1, 185 pounds, Barlock will add defensive depth to a Tulsa Oilers squad that finds itself at the bottom of the Central Hockey League standings at 8-16-2. The Oilers have allowed 108 goals this season, 20 more than any other team in the CHL.
