On a milestone night on Friday, Allen forward Jason Deitsch helped his club to an impressive 5-1 win over the Tulsa Oilers at the Allen Event Center.
For the Americans Captain, it was his 500th professional game (95th with Allen) and he stole the show with a third period shorthanded goal with his club down five skaters to three and he later added an assist.
The Cincinnati, Ohio native has four goals and 10 assists on the season for the first place Americans.
The veteran has been a part of three pro championships including back-to-back seasons with Cincinnati (ECHL, 2008) and Texas (CHL, 2009). He also was a member of the Colonial Cup Champion Kalamazoo Wings in 2006.
His best pro season came with the Wings in 2005-06 where he had 38 goals and 49 assists.
With the Brahmas in 2008-09, Deitsch was named the Ray Miron Presidents’ Cup MVP with 11 goals and 15 assists in 16 playoff games.
