“The new season starts today!” proclaimed a whiteboard scrawl in the Rush’s locker room prior to Friday’s second game of a three-game series with the Wichita Thunder at the Rushmore Plaza Civic Center Ice Arena.
And so far the message seems to have gotten through. The Rush are 2-0-0 after posting their first back-to-back wins since early December, a pair of 3-1 victories over the Thunder, a 2012 Ray Miron President’s Cup finalist that came into Rapid City second in the Berry Conference standings.
