CHL Officials Get Chance in NHL Scrimmage

The CHL is getting in on the lockout ending in the NHL with several former CHL players making their way to NHL rosters for training camp and even for the officials, they are getting a chance to hone their crafts.

CHL referees Kevin Curtis and Zac Blazik and linesmen Kevin Cassidy and Randy Sappo had the chance this week to work in Dallas during the Stars scrimmages during training camp.

"We are pleased to have Central Hockey League Officials involved in the Dallas Stars controlled scrimmage," said Bryan Lewis, CHL Referee-in-Chief.  "I have talked to the Officials and they are excited for the opportunity to associate with NHL players."

The CHL is in its mid-season break with no games scheduled since Sunday.  The second half of the season gets underway on Friday night in five cities.
