The Arizona Sundogs have a new coach.

The team announced Wednesday that Scott Muscutt will take over for the remainder of the 2012-13 season.

Muscutt has 11 years of head coaching experience, all of them with the now defunct Bossier-Shreveport Mudbugs of the Central Hockey League. He led his team to the playoffs 10 out of 11 times and has won two championships, his most recent in 2010-11.

The Mudbugs defeated the Colorado Eagles who are now part of the East Coast Hockey League in a seven-game series. He has coached 709 games and his all-time record is 432-213-64.
