BLOOMINGTON — A little more than a month remains in the Central Hockey League’s regular season, so the Bloomington Blaze know they cannot afford any lapses.

“The standings are so tight, if you lose a couple in a row you could be out of the playoffs,” said Blaze veteran Jon Booras, who will take the ice with his teammates Wednesday in a 7:05 p.m. rematch with Rapid City after scoring twice in a 6-4 win over the Rush on Saturday at U.S. Cellular Coliseum.

“Every game is a playoff game for us from here on out. Saturday was definitely a big win against a team we’re chasing in the standings.”
