Lubbock netminder JF Perras has been named Oakley Goaltender of the Week for Week Nine of the CHL season after two fine performances and a shutout for the Cotton Kings. Perras stopped 73 of 75 shots faced this week to help the Cotton Kings earn three our of four possible points. He made 40 saves in a 3-2 shootout loss in Corpus Christi on Friday evening, then recorded his first professional shutout the following night, stopping all 33 Laredo shots in a 3-0 home win.
Perras has been particular dominant during the month of December, sporting a 1.30 goals against average and a .963 save percentage while appearing in six contests. His back to back quality outings this week have moved him into fourth spot in the CHL with a 2.40 goals against average, while his .930 save percentage is tied for third among all CHL netminders.
