The Memphis RiverKings entered their Friday night Northeast Division showdown at Bossier-Shreveport riding a wave of 10 straight victories, hoping to increase the 12 point lead they enjoyed over the Mudbugs with win #11. Instead the Mudbugs, the CHLs stingiest defensive club, gave up just a single goal, winning 4-1 behind three power play goals in front of 6,500+ at the CenturyTel Center. Jason Sessa opened the scoring with a power play tally of his own just 1:58 in, but scores by Forbes MacPherson (2), Chris Brassard and Karlis Zirnis helped Bossier-Shreveport avenge a 4-1 loss Tuesday at the RiverKings Kids Day Game.
John Decaro picked up his 11th win of the year with 25 saves, while Kevin Schieve falls to 1-1-0, allowing four goals on 28 shots. The RiverKings still enjoy a 10 point divisional lead, with three more head to head contests (February 2nd and 3rd in Bossier-Shreveport, March 24th in Memphis) looming.
