Northern Conference All-Star Reserves Announced

NORTHERN CONFERENCE ALL-STAR RESERVES ANNOUNCED

The Central Hockey League (CHL) announced today the 12 reserve players for the Northern Conference that will skate in the 2008 CHL All-Star game scheduled for Wednesday, January 16th at the Broomfield Event Center.  The Northern Conference starters were announced on Friday and today the rest of the squad was unveiled as determined by Rocky Mountain’s Tracy Egeland, the North’s head coach, and the CHL’s hockey operations department.

The league’s top team, the Rocky Mountain Rage, will add one more player to the home-town team with the addition of defenseman Tyler Butler.  He joins Brent Cullaton and Scott Wray as members of the Rage named to the squad.  Butler is having his best offensive season with 30 points (9-21=30), second among all CHL defensemen.  

The Northeast Division’s Mississippi RiverKings will have three reserves at the game with forward Aaron Davis, defenseman Derek Landmesser and goaltender Sebastien Centomo making the team. 

Two other Northeast Division teams will have two players apiece on the all-star squad with division-leading Youngstown forwards Petr Pohl and Chris Richards making the team and Bossier-Shreveport goaltender John DeCaro and forward Daniel Pegoraro being named as reserves.

The rest of the Northern Conference squad is comprised of Tulsa forward Warren McCutcheon, Oklahoma City forward Ryan Watson, Wichita defenseman Daniel Tetrault and Texas defenseman Justin Kinnunen.

Defenseman - Daniel Tetrault, Wichita  (5th will be playing in 5th all-star game with third different team)
Defenseman - Tyler Butler, Rocky Mountain  (2nd  second among defensemen with 30 points)
Defenseman - Justin Kinnunen, Texas  (1st leads Brahmas defensemen with 14 points and a +8)
Defenseman - Derek Landmesser, Mississippi (6th most all-star appearances of any player in the game)
Goaltender - John DeCaro, Bossier-Shreveport  (2nd 10-4-2 record with a league-best five shutouts)
Goaltender - Sebastien Centomo, Mississippi  (1st 12-6-1 record with a .920 save%)
