Sundogs and Thunder at it Again; Bernier Brothers Re-United in Wichita
Less than 72 hours before the CHL’s trade deadline, the Wichita Thunder and the Arizona Sundogs worked out a deal that sends the right to goaltender Marco Emond and defenseman Dominic D’Amour to Arizona in exchange for defensemen Jonathan Bernier.

The Thunder and the Sundogs have already worked together on three previous trades with Chris Greene, Cedric Bernier and Bill Zaniboni heading to Wichita and Tyler Liebel changing addresses to Prescott Valley.
Jonathan Bernier has played in 35 games with the Sundogs this season posting 117 penalty minutes and two goals. As a rookie a year ago, Bernier appeared in all 64 games with the Sundogs notching five assists and leading the Sundogs with 226 penalty minutes. Jonathan, a triplet will rejoin brother Cedric tomorrow night when the Thunder host the Rio Grande Valley Killer Bees.
The Sundogs gain the rights to two players. Emond was acquired by Wichita from Colorado more than a week ago but never reported to the Thunder. The veteran goaltender was 13-3-0 with the Eagles this season, Arizona also gains the rights to defenseman Dominic D’Amour. The former third round pick of the Toronto Maple Leafs had 15 points (5-10=15) in 26 games with Wichita before departing for Italy in early January.
