OAKLEY CENTRAL HOCKEY LEAGUE GOALTENDER OF THE WEEK ANNOUNCED
Laredo’s Sebastien Centomo Earn Weekly Award
The Central Hockey League announced today that the recipient for the Oakley CHL Player and Goaltender of the Week for the period ending November 16th, 2008 is Sebastien Centomo of the Laredo Bucks.
Centomo played in just one game last week but made the most of it stopping all 30 shots he faced in the Bucks 4-0 victory over the Bossier-Shreveport Mudbugs. The shutout was the first of the season for Centomo and the 17th in his professional career. The 2001-02 CHL Rookie of the Year is 6-3-0 on the season with a 2.01 goals against average (second in the league) and a .940 save percentage (first in the league). His 281 saves are tied for the league lead and his six wins are tied for second. The Laval, Quebec native has seen CHL action in past seasons with the RiverKings organization and Oklahoma City. He has also played in 95 career American Hockey League games and one National Hockey League game.
In recognition of his achievement, Centomo will receive a special gift from Oakley.
