“Billy is an exciting player to watch,” said Americans Head Coach and General Manager Dwight Mullins. “He brings a lot of speed and quickness. We feel very fortunate to be able to add him to our team.”
The Michigan native, a recent graduate of Miami University in Ohio, was part of the school’s first trip to the Frozen Four, which occurred last season. The RedHawks emerged as national runners-up after falling to Boston University in the National Championship game.
Loupee, 24, played two seasons in the United States Hockey League prior to joining the RedHawks.
