French Guides Hershey to Calder Cup
Capping off a dream season, the Hershey Bears disposed of the Texas Stars in Game 6 of the Calder Cup Finals on Monday night. The win sees several CHL alumni earn rings as head coach Mark French, in his first season as the team's top boss, led the team to a record-breaking regular season (60-17-0-3, 123 points) and then followed that up with the Cup win. It is the Bears 11th overall title and second straight.
In his time in the CHL, French was the head coach of the Wichita Thunder for two+ seasons.
French's assistant with the Bears is Troy Mann (former player with San Angelo and Topeka).
