Oilers Streak Way to Fourth Straight Win


Things stayed hot in Tulsa as the Oilers won their fourth straight game jumping past Rio Grande Valley in the Berry Conference standings with a convincing 4-1 win over the Rapid City Rush.  The loss starts a seven-game road trip off on a bad note for the defending champs who are just 1-4-2 in their last seven games.

Harrison Reed countered an early Brendon Hodge score to take the lead for good for the Oilers with back-to-back goals.  For Reed, it was his eighth and ninth goals of the season and it gives him 20 points on the season.

Chad Costello finished with a goal and two helpers pushing his team-leading point total to 27 (11-16=27).

Ian Keserich made 25 saves winning his fourth straight decision and improving to 7-5-0 on the season.

Sean Erickson scored his fourth goal of the season accounting for the other score.

Danny Battochio (8-6-4) took the loss stopping 22 of 26 shots.
