All it took was nine seconds in the third period for the Fort Wayne Komets to turn the tables and come out on top of the Dayton Gems on Monday night in Fort Wayne. The final was 4-2 but the game was tight throughout.

The Komets trailed 2-1 heading into the third period but a power play goal from Tab Lardner and a score from Sean O’Connor came just nine seconds turning the score into a 3-2 lead for Fort Wayne.
P.C. Drouin added an empty-net goal giving the two goal cushion.
Nick Boucher made 33 saves earning the win, 2-0-1 in his last three decisions and Jeff Jakaitis was well tested seeing 40 shots and stopping 37 of them.
Erik Boisvert and Brandon Naurato scored the goals for Dayton.
