Ryan Jardine scored twice and Robby Nolan made 41 saves earning his league-leading fifth shutout of the season as the Mavs split their two-game series with the Rush. Nick Sirota and Todd Griffith also scored goals for the visiting Mavs.
Quad City 4 at Dayton 2
The Mallards ended a three-game losing streak thanks to four separate goal scorers and 28 saves for David Brown. The Gems lose for the fourth time in their last five games.
Evansville 5 at Fort Wayne 3
The IceMen ended a seven-game losing streak (0-5-2) thanks to three straight goals in just over three minutes to beat the Komets for the fourth time in seven games. Jeff Christian’s shorthanded, empty-net goal put the game out of reach in the final minute.
Tulsa 3 at Mississippi 2
Michel Beausoleil scored his third goal in the last two games with this one counting as the game winner in overtime as the Oilers won their fourth straight game. Trevor Cann made 38 saves earning the win.
Texas 5 at Bossier-Shreveport 3
The Brahmas bounced back after having their seven-game win streak end last night with a two-goal road win in Bossier-Shreveport on Saturday night. Greg Hogeboom continued his hot play with a goal and an assist and Wayne Savage made 29 saves earning the win.
Wichita 4 at Colorado 5 (OT)
Adam Chorneyko scored the game winner in OT as the Eagles became the third team to clinch a CHL Playoff spot. Aaron Schneekloth had a goal and an assist and Riley Nelson notched three points (1-2=3).
Bloomington 2 at Allen 3 (SO)
The Americans earned the win scoring three times in the shootout compared to one strike for the PThunder but with the point, Bloomington extended their point streak to nine games (6-0-3). Jonathan Zion’s shootout goal served as the game winner.
Arizona 3 at Odessa 4 (OT)
For the second straight night, the Jacks came through with an overtime win, this time it was Jeff Pierce earning the honor of scoring the OT game winner. Cam Keith had two goals and an assist in a losing effort for the Sundogs who scored twice late earning a point. The Sundogs have now lost 11 straight road games.
Laredo 2 at Rio Grande Valley 3
The Bees ended their season-series with the Bucks with a thriller in RGV earning the win and the first ever Cricket Mayor’s Cup. The Bees won nine of the 16 games versus the Bucks this season. All of the scoring in this game was done in the first period with Aaron Lewicki’s goal serving as the game winner.
