After five frustrating periods of hockey, things finally went the way of the Colorado Eagles.
The Eagles scored four goals in the third period Tuesday night, an offensive outburst for a team that had been struggling on that end, to beat Bossier-Shreveport 4-2 in Game 3 of the Presidents' Cup Finals.
With Games 4 and 5 back-to-back today and Friday at the CenturyTel Center in Bossier City, La., Colorado coach Chris Stewart hopes to see that surge continue.
"I don't know how much momentum we'll get from this, but we have to go into it with as much energy and play with as much speed as we did (Tuesday) night," Stewart said Wednesday. "I thought we played well all three periods. Our tempo from the start was very good."
