Congratulations to Odessa Coach Don McKee, who becomes the latest, and seventh, member of the Central Hockey Leagues 200-win club following the Jackalopes 3-2 win over Corpus Christi Friday night at the Ector County Coliseum. CHL rookie leading scorer Dominic Leveille had the game winning goal and an assist in the win. Elsewere in Friday action, Lubbock, Amarillo, Austin, Oklahoma City, Colorado and Tulsa all earned victories.

Jan Melichercik, Nolan Graham and Bobby Brown combined for 10 points as the Cotton Kings came back from four separate deficits to force a scoreless overtime and the decisive shootout. Lubbock remains two points behind Odessa in the Southwest, while Laredo, who had two-point outings from Serge Dube, Steve Simoes, Jeff Bes Hans Benson and James Hiebert, enjoys a 10 point lead in the Southeast.

Six different Gorillas had three or more points as Amarillo rolled to a 10-3 win, scoring four times in each of the second and third periods. Joey Sewell, with his second goal of the year and three assists, and Derek Hahn, with his 14th and 15th as well as two assists, each had four point outings.

Five games into his tenure with the Austin ice Bats, Miroslav Kopriva remains perfect, extending his record to 5-0-0 with a 40 save outing Friday over the Mudbugs. He lowered his goals against average to just 1.20, and elevated his save percentage to .964 in the victory. John McNabb, with his 14th of the year, and Michael Tucciarone, with his fifth, handled the scoring for the Bats, while Dan Wildfong replied with his 8th of the season for the Mudbugs.
Fort Worth 1 @ Oklahoma City 6
he Blazers came out big winners in a nasty contest featuring a combined 184 penalty minutes. Tyler Fleck had two goals in the first period for Oklahoma City, who win in their first outing with interim coach Ray Edwards filling in for Doug Sauter, attending to personal matters in Saskatchewan. Fort Worth outshot Oklahoma City 42-40 in the contest, but netminder Sebastien Centomo was equal to the challenge, making 41 saves.
