Komets peaking at right part of season

The Komets are rolling – they’re on an 11-4-2 run – and they’ve pulled into a tie with slumping Evansville for first place in the Turner Conference.
And there are only nine games remaining in the regular season for the Komets to separate themselves from the IceMen in the race for the conference’s top playoff seed.
Both teams are 36-17-4.
But the Komets want to sharpen up mentally to make sure they have home-ice advantage throughout the first two rounds of the playoffs. In each of the Komets’ last three losses, the opposition has scored fewer than three goals, meaning the little mistakes are what have been hurting Fort Wayne.
