HIDALGO — One season after being a key cog on the franchise’s best-ever team, Wylie Rogers’ first stint with the Killer Bees ended with the goalie out of favor and questioning his future in the sport.
His second stint is going considerably better.
After returning in November, Rogers beat out Dan Dunn for a spot in the Bees’ goaltending mix. He and John Murray have become one of the better duos in the league, with Rogers going 13-10-5 with a 2.74 goals-against average and .910 save percentage.
And Rogers is clearly grateful for the second chance with the Bees.
