On-Ice Officials for Ray Miron Presidents’ Cup Finals Announced
GLENDALE, AZ (April 27, 2012) – The Central Hockey League (CHL) announced today the three referees and five linesmen that will make up the on-ice officials crew for the 2012 CHL Ray Miron Presidents’ Cup Finals that begins on Saturday at the INTRUST Bank Arena in Wichita, Kansas when the Thunder hosts the Fort Wayne Komets.
The referees selected for the Finals are Boone Bruggman, Marc-Andre Lavoie and Peter Tarnaris and the linesmen are Kyle DeMaggio, John Grandt, Bill McGoldrick, Shaun Morgan and Cory Piche.
“These men have worked very hard all season and are well deserved with their appointments to the Finals,” said Jim Wiley, CHL Director of Hockey Operations. “These eight officials have been outstanding this year and we are confident that will have an outstanding Final.”
It will be the first CHL Finals for all three referees as well as for DeMaggio, McGoldrick, Morgan and Piche. For Grandt, this marks the third straight appointment to the Finals.
“The CHL Officiating Department would like to acknowledge and thank the more than 100 Officials (full-time; part-time; referees; linesmen) who worked in the Central Hockey during the regular season,” said Bryan Lewis, CHL Referee-in-Chief. “Their efforts are acknowledged and appreciated.”
