Kevin Pyle Wins 2011-12 CHL Media Services Award
Tulsa-Based Photographer Wins Top Media Award
GLENDALE, AZ (May 1, 2012) – The Central Hockey League (CHL) announced today that Kevin Pyle, a freelance photographer that covers the CHL out of Tulsa, Oklahoma, has been named the winner of the 2011-12 Central Hockey League Media Services Award. Pyle becomes the fourth winner of the award and the first photographer since the inaugural award presentation to earn the honor.
The CHL Media Services Award is ‘Presented annually to the media member that has provided outstanding service to and coverage of the CHL while helping to further the recognition of the league’s brand’.
The Tulsa native has been a CHL contributing photographer since the 2008-09 season and served as a Tulsa Oilers team photographer from 2007 to 2009. As a freelance photographer specializing in entertainment and sports with a periphery in photojournalism, Kevin’s clients include Tulsa Today, the Tulsa World, Associated Press, Oklahoma Today Magazine, Cain’s Ballroom, Brady Theater, DCF Concerts and the Central Hockey League.
