The Bossier-Shreveport Mudbugs, 2007 hosts for the Central Hockey League All-Star Game, unveiled the official jersey designs (created by Quebec-based SP Apparel) for the All-Star participants Friday morning during the Spring Conference in Scottsdale, Arizona. The Mudbugs also used a video detailing some of the attractions of the Bossier City / Shreveport area, and discussed some of the events planned around the game date of January 17th, 2007. The morning concluded with breakout meeting sessions for the Ticket Sales, Corporate Sales, Merchandise & Licensing, Communications and Hockey Operations departments.
In the afternoon, the annual CHL Golf Tournament will occur with more than 144 expected participants, sponsored by Hunt Construction and taking place at the Grayhawk Golf Club (Raptor Course), home to the PGA Tours Tommy Bahama Challenge. Friday evening, the Bostons Casino Night / Texas Hold Em Tournament is scheduled, with all proceeds generated donated to the Hoffen Foundation for distribution to childrens charities throughout CHL markets.
Boston Culinary Group will present a Saturday morning breakfast and trade show, in conjunction with a presentation by former National Hockey League player Ryan Walter, followed by continued departmental breakout meetings throughout the day. Both the Arizona Sundogs and Rocky Mountain Rage will participate in the 2006 CHL Expansion Draft in the afternoon, with each club selecting five players from an available pool of 56 players. The weeks agenda concludes Saturday night with the CHL Awards Banquet presented by architect company Sink Combs Dethlefs, honoring top individual and franchise performance from the 2005-2006 season.
