Bossier-Shreveport goaltender Ken Carroll recorded his 20th CHL/WPHL shutout Thursday night, taking over sole possession of second spot in the all-time career shutout category. Carrolls 34 saves in the Mudbugs 2-0 home ice shutout over Odessa leaves him just two shutouts behind career leader Rod Branch and his 22. Carroll had previously shared the second spot with Matt Barnes (19).

Daniel Pegararo and Ken Carroll led the Mudbugs to their second home win in as many tries. Pegararo scored early in the first and late in the third, while Carroll turned aside all 34 Odessa shots, including 15 in the opening frame.
Wichita 2 @ Memphis 5
The RiverKings win streak moves to 4 after busting out with four first period goals en route to their 5-2 win. The RiverKings were terrific with the man advantage, scoring four times in eight chances while limiting the Thunder to a single goal in nine man advantages. Derek Landmesser had a goal and two assists for Memphis, all coming on the power play.
Austin 5 @ Corpus Christi 2
The Ice Bats secured their first road win of the season with two goals in the opening period and three more in the second. Goals by Michael Tucciarone and J.F. Picard gave Austin a 2-0 lead after the first period, and after Derrick McIver countered with a Corpus Christi goal, Tim Early Jason Kenyon and Mike Possin put the game out of reach.
Lubbock 2 @ New Mexico 4
The Scorpions comeback kids did it again Thursday, erasing a 2-0 deficit to visiting Lubbock to emerge 4-2 winners. Kyle Nosan had both early goals for Lubbock, but tallies by Bob Kukulka and Ryan McLeod in the middle frame and Aaron Macinnis Chris Robertson in the third gave New Mexico their third straight win.
