The Colorado Eagles have become the first Central Hockey League club to repeat as the top club in the Weekly CHL Coachs Poll. While slipping slightly in total poll points (156 to 151) and first place votes (13 to 12), the Eagles maintain top position. The second and third ranked teams #2 Memphis, #3 Lubbock) also maintained their positions, while the remaining seven rankings have changed.
The Oklahoma City Blazers (into #4), Youngstown SteelHounds (into # 5), Arizona Sundogs (into #7) and Corpus Christi Rayz (into #8) all moved up a single slot, with the Laredo Bucks (#4 to #6) and Bossier-Shreveport Mudbugs (#7 to #9) both slipping two positions. The Rio Grande Valley Killer Bees rejoin the Top 10 after a three week absence, replacing the Wichita Thunder at #10.
Each week throughout the season the CHL will release the results of the Coaches Poll. Each first place selection earns 10 points, second place earns 9 points, etc. Coaches cannot vote for their own team, creating a potential perfect score of 160 points should one club receive all 16 possible first place votes.
