Colorado center Riley Nelson has been named the Sher-Wood Central Hockey League Player of the Month for November. Nelson enjoyed a remarkable month in which the Eagles posted a 9-2-0 record. Nelson posted five multiple point games during November, including a season high five point outing in a 6-0 home win over Rocky Mountain on November 18th.
While he didnt register a power play goal during the month, he did assist on seven scores while with the man advantage and was highly impressive in leading Colorados penalty killing unit, scoring four shorthanded goals and setting up three others. His five total shorthanded goals leads the CHL, as does his +14 plus/minus ranking. Nelson sits third in the CHL scoring race with 25 points on the season.
