Colorado netminder Marco Emond has been named the Oakley Goaltender of the Week for Week 20 of the CHL season after returning to action for the first time in nearly a month with back to back home victories in which he allowed a total of just two goals against.
Returning to the ice for the first time since February 10th, Emond posted home wins over both Lubbock and Rocky Mountain to earn his 23rd and 24th victories of the season. He stopped 30 shots Friday evening in a 6-1 victory over the Cotton Kings, and another 32 Saturday in a 3-1 win over the Rage. Ranking among the top seven CHL goaltenders in the wins, goals against average and save percentage categories, Emond put together an impressive 11 game unbeaten streak between December 2nd and January 9th this season.
