Thunder Rally Back for a 4-3 OT Victory Versus Blazers
Things looked bleak at the start for the Wichita Thunder on Wednesday night as prior to the game their top scorer Bruce Richardson was given a game misconduct for his actions during pre-game warm-up. Then the Thunder fell behind 3-1 midway through the second period to the visiting Oklahoma City Blazers. However, in the end it was Wichita who laughed last with a 4-3 overtime victory over the Blazers giving the Thunder back-to-back wins for the first time this season.
Wichita received a goal and an assist from Jason Duda and the overtime game winner from Dominic D’Amour giving Wichita a win in their first of six straight games at home.
Sebastien Laplante improved to 5-8-0 making 33 saves in the victory. Jason Wolfe made 36 saves in the loss for OKC.
