New Mexico Ends Five-Game Slide
The New Mexico Scorpions broke out in a big way on Friday night snapping their five-game slide in a 5-3 win over Rapid City. The win was the 50th for Scorpions Head Coach Randy Murphy who is in his second season with the team.
The Rush outshot the Scorpions 36-21 but Kyle McNulty made 33 saves and earned his first win of the season.
Craig Macdonald had two goals and an assist for New Mexico and Jamie Herrington and Seth Leonard each had a goal and an assist.
The Scorps power play clicked for a pair of goals in six chances.
