CHL Penalizes Rio Grande Valley Two Points in Standings
The Central Hockey League (CHL) announced today that the Rio Grande Valley Killer Bees have been penalized two points for playing with an ineligible player during the games of February 21st, February 24th and February 27th.
The Killer Bees were permitted to dress 15 skaters and two goaltenders for those three games but dressed one extra skater. The limitations on the Killer Bees roster were due to a three-game suspension of one of their players.
The forfeited two points come from the February 24th game where the Killer Bees defeated the Arizona Sundogs. All the statistics from that game for both the Killer Bees and Sundogs will remain intact as will the win-loss records for both teams. No points will be deducted from the additional two games due to the Killer Bees losing both contests.
