Mudbugs Put an End to Brahmas Streak
The Bossier-Shreveport Mudbugs rebounded after Saturday’s home loss to Mississippi by winning on the road in Texas by a score of 2-1 over the Southeast Division leading Brahmas. The win for Bossier-Shreveport snaps the Brahmas league-leading 16-game home win streak.

The win helps the ‘Bugs keep pace in the Northeast Division as they sit five points behind Mississippi and one point behind Oklahoma City.
Texas led 1-0 after two periods behind a goal from Travis Banga in the second period. This season, the Brahmas were 26-0-2 when leading after two periods and 17-0 at home when holding the 40 minute lead.
The ‘Bugs came back with goals form Joe Blaznek and Neil Clark in the third period and relied on Ken Carroll for the rest. The veteran goaltender made 21 saves earring the win.
It was the first home loss for Texas since December 26th. The Brahmas were without leading goal scorer and CHL MVP finalist Scott Sheppard who was placed in the 14-day injured reserve earlier in the day.
