Brahmas Strike Three Times in Third Period Winning Game Three
The Texas Brahmas took a two games to one lead in the Ray Miron President’s Cup Finals thanks to a 6-2 Game Three victory over the Colorado Eagles at the NYTEX Sports Centre in North Richland Hills, Texas. Game Four of the series will be Tuesday night in Texas.

The red-hot Tyler Skworchinski capped off a strong first period of play for the Brahmas who outshot the Eagles 12-5 and lead 1-0 after Skworchinski’s 12th goal of the playoffs.
In the second period, Ed McGrane continued his strong play in the post-season scoring a pair of goals giving him 10. The second came shorthanded. The Eagles came back twice from one-goal deficits but it was Travis Banga’s second goal of the playoffs with less than two minutes remaining in the second period that made the score 3-2 and proved to be the eventual game winner.
The third period was all Brahmas as they scored three times, two on the power, as the Eagles self-imploded taking 23 minutes in penalties compared to zero for Texas in the final period.
Grant Jacobsen, Pete Rouleau and Skworchinski all scored third period goals with Skworchinski’s being his second of the night and 13th of the playoffs (tops in the league). During the regular season, Skoworchinski scored 16 goals in 64 games but in the playoffs he has 13 goals in 14 games.
Brett Jaeger made 22 saves improving to 10-4 in the playoffs, while Andrew Penner stopped 28 shots falling to 9-4.
