JAEGER RECALLED BY AEROS
NORTH RICHLAND HILLS, Texas (October 27)-The Texas Brahmas of the Central Hockey League (CHL) have announced the promotion of goaltender Brett Jaeger to the Houston Aeros (AHL) Tuesday.
Jaeger, who is playing his third consecutive season with the Brahmas, attended the Aeros training camp early this fall. The netminder owns the Brahmas franchise record with the lowest GAA (2.36) and best save percentage (.924) last season. Jaeger proved to be pivotal in the postseason as he led all goaltenders in GAA (2.20) and save percentage (.930), leading to Texas’ first Championship title in history.
Brahmas Head Coach Dan Wildfong believes this is a great opportunity for his goaltender early in the season.
"Brett has been a valuable asset to us and I believe he will do great in Houston. This is an incredible opportunity for him to showcase his talents at a higher level," he said.
Jaeger was recalled by the Aeros as Houston's man in the mask, Anton Khudobin was called up by the Minnesota Wild. Wild goalie, Josh Harding is out due to "lower body soreness".
