Effinger released from Texas, back on Americans’ roster
ALLEN, Texas – The Texas Stars announced the release of goaltender Charlie Effinger today, so he rejoins the Americans’ roster. Effinger was called up Friday after Texas’ goalie Matt Climie was recalled by the Dallas Stars.
Effinger, the first player in franchise history to get called to the AHL, is undefeated with the Americans, posting a 3-0-0 record and one shutout. He has a goals against average of 1.67, and his save percentage is .946.
Francois Lemay, who was signed for last night’s game against the Brahmas, has been released.
