Sher-Wood Hockey Inc. Returns as a Partner of the CHL

The Central Hockey League (CHL), in conjunction with Sher-Wood Hockey Inc., announced today that the two companies will extend their partnership for a sixth consecutive season keeping the Sherbrooke, Quebec based company as a part of the exclusive program to supply the CHL’s teams and players with sticks, pants and gloves.  The two companies originally partnered in the spring of 2004.

Sher-Wood Hockey Inc. specializes in the design and manufacturing of ice hockey sticks and protective equipment. The company offers one of the most diversified product lines in the industry and is the exclusive game puck and official souvenir puck supplier to the National Hockey League.  In the winter of 2008, Sher-Wood Hockey Inc. purchased the assets of the TPS Sports Group who was among industry leaders in the production of hockey sticks and protective equipment.  This gives the CHL selection from both companies for sticks, pants and gloves.

“We have forged a very solid partnership with Sher-Wood Hockey Inc. over the past five years and are extremely pleased to continue that relationship,” said Duane Lewis, CHL Commissioner.  “They have always provided outstanding service to the league, our member teams and our players while providing quality equipment that allows our players to perform to their highest capabilities.”

We are very proud of our strong partnership with the Central Hockey League and will continue to offer top quality product and improve on service levels,” said Jake Arnott Director of Pro Team Sales at Sher-wood Hockey Inc.  “We congratulate the CHL on its many successes and positive growth, and we eagerly look forward to the 2010-2011 season.’’

Sher-Wood Hockey Inc. will continue to be the sponsor of several league awards including the CHL Player/Goaltender of the Month.
