ROSS ROULEAU RE-SIGNS WITH BRAHMAS
NORTH RICHLAND HILLS, Texas (July 27)-The Brahmas defense is beginning to solidify for the upcoming year as they announced the re-signing of Ross Rouleau for the 2011-12 campaign.
Rouleau will enter his fourth season with the Brahmas, having played all 136 career games in the purple in black. In his rookie season, the 6-foot blueliner helped anchor the Brahmas blueline for the franchise’s first CHL Championship.
Last season, the Hancock, MI native recorded 13 points (2 G, 11 A) in 29 games. In 2009-10, Rouleau received a call-up from the Houston Aeros of the American Hockey League (AHL).
Rouleau initially joined the Brahmas in the team’s “Making the Cut” tryout camp in September 2008. Following the three day intensive camp, Rouleau was awarded a training camp contract which ultimately led to a roster spot for the 2008-2009 Champion Brahmas.
Brahmas Head Coach Dan Wildfong is happy to have Rouleau return to help lead his defensive unit.
“Ross has grown so much as a player in the past three seasons, and we expect big things from him this season. He knows the system and has experienced what it takes to bring home the Cup,” said Wildfong.
