A number of Central Hockey League teams have begun efforts to help in the relief of Hurricane Katrina. The Amarillo Gorillas, Bossier-Shreveport Mudbugs, Laredo Bucks, and Memphis RiverKings have all set up functions to aid in the wake of this disaster.
The Amarillo Gorillas will be at the Amarillo Civic Center on Friday, September 9th, to assist Bud Light in providing services for victims of Hurricane Katrina.

The Bossier-Shreveport Mudbugs have set up the first "Children's Village" at the CenturyTel Center where children will be able to play sports and games in the parking lot of the arena.
