Rich Kromm had two reasons to be happy with a Central Hockey League schedule that had the Evansville IceMen at home over Christmas.
"It was nice that a lot of the guys could have their families in for the holiday," the team's coach and general manager said before Monday's practice at the Ford Center. "Plus it was nice to be able to work in this building.
"The way the schedule works, you don't get consistent practice time around games. So when we can get some, it's nice when we can be at the Ford Center, where we play our games (rather than at Swonder Ice Arena, where they often practice)."
