Memphis netminder Larry Sterling has been selected as the Sher-Wood Central Hockey League Goaltender of the Month for November, winning seven of nine contests during the month and recording his first shutout of the season for the RiverKings.
Sterling becomes the first netminder awarded Goaltender of the Month on back to back occasions since Colorados Tyler Weiman did so in December and January of the 2004-2005 season. His dependable play has the RiverKings atop the Northeast Division standings with a record of 10-3-2. His top outing of the month came November 11th on the road, shutting out Corpus Christi 4-0 with a 26 save performance. He shares the CHL wins lead of nine with Colorados Marco Emond, and ranks third in the CHL with a goals against average of 2.32.
