Arizona Sundogs right winger Brent Kelly has earned Oakley CHL Player of the Week honors for the second time this season after scoring six points in two contests the past week. With four goals and two assists in a pair of Sundogs contests at New Mexico this week, Kellys 36 total points now rank third in the CHL scoring race.
He scored twice and added two assists in a 6-5 loss to the Scorpions on Friday, with three points coming with the man advantage, then potted both his 15th and 16th goals of the season the following night, including the game winner, to help Arizona pull out a come from behind 4-3 overtime victory. Kelly has registered at least a single point in 16 of 20 Arizona contests this season, and has enjoyed 11 multiple point outings. Kelly also was named the Oakley Player of the Week in Week Two of the CHL season.
