Youngstown left winger Jeff Christian is the first Central Hockey League player to reach 100 points this season, doing so with a pair of third period goals Friday evening in the SteelHounds 4-1 victory over the Memphis RiverKings in front of 5,300+ at the Chevrolet Centre.
Christian, now with 33 goals and 67 assists on the season, and the 'Hounds have now won six consecutive contests after their three game home sweep of the RiverKings. Christian was one of only three plays to reach 100 points last year, recording 107, along with 2005-2006 MVP Derek Hahn (114 points) of the Amarillo Gorillas and Wichitas Joe Blaznek (100).
Linemate Chris Richards, who assisted on all four Youngstown goals Saturday is also closing in on the 100 point plateau, now with 98 total points.
