The Central Hockey League (CHL) announced today one promotion and one addition to the league’s front office staff. Curtis Valentine has been promoted to the CHL’s Vice President of Business Operations and Elizabeth Geeza has been named the CHL’s Marketing Manager. Elizabeth will begin her new position with the CHL immediately.

Curtis joined the CHL in May of 2006 as the Director of Business Operations and served in that capacity until his recent promotion. As the VP of Business Operations, Curtis will oversee all business-related league activity and work hand-in-hand with the CHL’s member franchises. The Saratoga Springs, New York native recently spearheaded the CHL’s agreement with Network Foundation Technologies providing the CHL Network (FREE-for-view video broadcasts of CHL games). Curtis graduated from Bowling Green State University in 2001 and from the W.P. Carey School of Business at Arizona State University where he earned his M.B.A. in 2006.

“We are very excited to see the growth Curtis has shown since joining the CHL staff over a year ago,” said Rick Kozuback, President and CEO of Global Entertainment Corporation (AMEX: GEE), the CHL's parent company. “I am confident that Curtis’ strong work ethic will translate to continued success for our league and our member teams throughout the future.”

Elizabeth joins the CHL after spending the last year with the Arizona Sundogs during their very successful inaugural season in Prescott Valley, Arizona most recently serving as the Sundogs Director of Special Events and Group Fulfillment. As the CHL’s Marketing Manager, Elizabeth will be responsible for the CHL’s merchandising licensing program, the group purchasing program and also coordinate all large annual events such as the CHL All-Star Game, CHL Career Fair and the Global Entertainment Summer Conference.
