OAKLEY CENTRAL HOCKEY LEAGUE PLAYER OF THE WEEK ANNOUNCED
The Central Hockey League announced today that the recipients for the Oakley CHL Player and Goaltender of the Week for the period ending October 28th, 2007 are center Jeff Bes of the Laredo Bucks and goaltender Dustin Traylen of the Laredo Bucks.
Bes becomes the second straight Buck’s forward to win the award (James Hiebert won the weekly award during the opening week of the CHL season). The Tillsonburg, Ontario native had points in three of the Bucks four games last week, all wins, including a six-point game in Saturday’s 9-3 victory over the Amarillo Gorillas. The 6-0, 190-pound veteran is currently the CHL leader with 14 points and is tied for the league lead with nine assists. Bes is in his fifth season with the Bucks and has posted impressive career numbers scoring 125 goals and 233 assists in 237 career games.
